Vermont Forest Future Strategic Roadmap

Vermont Forest Future Community Engagement Sessions

The Vermont Forest Future (a strategic roadmap led by the VT Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation) is seeking further public comment through a series of Community Engagement meetings.

VNRC is currently serving on a Forest Future Advisory Committee to provide input on the strategic roadmap. So far, the public engagement process has included a survey, industry roundtables, and two think-tank workshops where participants identified Key Drivers of the Vermont forest economy and how they affect our forests’ future. These were then used to identify Least Desired, Expected, and Preferred versions of the Vermont forest economy’s future.

The Community Engagement Sessions will be a chance to learn more about the Strategic Roadmap initiative, see the initial data, and provide your perspective.
