Two Things: Recapping VNRC’s Annual Meeting & Inviting You to “Taking Action for the Next Climate Event in Vermont”

Two things: Sharing a recap of our 60th anniversary and annual meeting, and inviting you to an upcoming virtual event, “Taking Action for the Next Climate Event in Vermont.”

Stay informed, stay connected—two things.

In Case You Missed It: VNRC Celebrated Our 60 Year Anniversary

Last week, VNRC hosted our 60th anniversary celebration and annual meeting at Lareau Farm Inn in Waitsfield. Thank you to all of our wonderful members, friends, and partners who joined us for the celebration! We presented Darby Bradley with our 2023 Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership, shared our new Vermont Environmental Report, and commemorated six decades of our work to protect Vermont’s environment with a short film we produced in partnership with Tamarack Media and WildLinks Environmental Media. It was a lovely evening with great company and fresh local food, and we’re excited to kick off the next 60 years of our work for Vermont! You can watch the short film, which touches on VNRC’s legacy as well as the future of our work, here.

You’re Invited to an Upcoming Webinar: “Taking Action for the Next Climate Event in Vermont”

VNRC is partnering with Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility and ReBuild by Design to bring you an interactive briefing on the Atlas of Disaster, created to identify, analyze, and synthesize different data sets and ideas into an accessible compendium of county-by-county climate impacts. This October 11th event will focus on the scope of findings for Vermont and recommendations for improving state and federal approaches to disaster response and climate adaptation, including creating and implementing infrastructure policies and projects that prepare communities for our state’s most pressing problems. This discussion is open to anyone interested in taking action to prepare for the next climate event in Vermont, and there will be time for Q&A. Learn more and register to join us here
