Two Things: Public Meetings on Vermont’s Environmental Justice Law & A Lakeside Chat on Pollinator Protection

Two things: Sharing opportunities to help shape public engagement around Vermont’s environmental justice law, and inviting you to a lakeside chat on pollinator protection.

Stay informed, stay connected—two things.

Participate in Upcoming Public Meetings of the Environmental Justice (EJ) Advisory Council and Interagency EJ Committee!

We are excited to share new developments regarding the Vermont Environmental Justice (EJ) Law – and opportunities to participate in shaping its implementation. Established in 2022, the EJ Law has led to the creation of the EJ Advisory Council and Interagency EJ Committee. This law aims to provide equitable access to environmental benefits for all Vermonters, while also protecting communities from undue environmental burdens. There are two remaining upcoming public meetings in August, hosted by the EJ Advisory Council and Interagency EJ Committee. These meetings will focus on drafting the core principles of community engagement, a key element of the Vermont EJ Law. Your input is vital, and there will be ample opportunities for public comments during these sessions. If you’re unable to attend in person, you can still contribute through the public input survey, shaping the direction of community engagement. Plus, sign up for the Vermont Environmental Justice Law mailing list to stay informed of opportunities, resources, and updates.
