You’re Invited: Land Use, Smart Growth & Conservation: Designation 2050 Virtual Conversation

Vermont’s landscape is dotted with historic and compact village and town centers, surrounded by rural countryside. How we plan to guide development to maintain those patterns matters. How well are the current Vermont State Designation Programs supporting these historic land use patterns and supporting sustainable development practices on the ground? How well do they align with local, regional, and state goals, plans, maps and policies? What land use, smart growth, and conservation planning challenges are emerging for the next 25 years? How might we design the next round of programs to meet those challenges? What goals, outcomes, and benefits should we prioritize? Join VNRC, Designation 2050, and Vermont Planners Association for a virtual conversation this Thursday, August 31st from 11:00am-12:30pm to weigh in. Learn more and RSVP here.
