On Thursday, September 22, VNRC held our 59th Annual Meeting at Hula in Burlington. Thanks to all our supporters and friends who made it out to Burlington for a windy Thursday evening on Lake Champlain; we were pleased to see so many new and familiar faces after the past two years of virtual meetings. It was also our great honor – with help from Jens Hilke of the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department – to present the 2022 Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership to Zoe Richards, Director of Burlington Wildways and Chair of the Burlington Conservation Board.
Changes to the Board
We elected new members to the Board of Directors: Diane Snelling (Hinesburg) was elected to her first term, Judy Dow (Essex) was reelected for her second term, and Kathy Beyer (Hinesburg) was elected to her first full term after being appointed as a mid-term replacement in April 2022. We also said goodbye to Chad Farrell, Don Hooper and Darren Springer, all of whom termed off the Board after many years of dedicated service at VNRC.
Raffle Winner
Congratulations to our raffle winner, Megan Noonan of Waterbury, who took home a handcrafted curly yellow birch cutting board made by Vermont artisan Jerome Milks. Thanks again to everyone who contributed toward making this event a success. See you again next year!
