New Action Plan Released to Support Lake Champlain

A new action plan has been released to support Lake Champlain! The Vermont Citizen Advisory Committee has called on the State of Vermont to make urgent investments to restore Lake Champlain, increase resilience within its watershed, and assure that its communities thrive. The Committee has identified five top priorities to help Lake Champlian thrive, including: managing aquatic invasive species, improving equitable public access, increasing infrastructure for climate resilience, supporting farmers, and mitigating pollution from contaminants.

At VNRC, we have been participating in these priority areas through legislative policy, restoration work, and advocacy for water resources and the Lake Champlain Basin. We applaud the committee on this action plan.
