The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) is working with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to develop a comprehensive transportation improvement plan for Interstate 89 through Chittenden County.
As a member of the I-89 Corridor Study Advisory Committee, VNRC encourages people to share their ideas for I-89 improvements. Click here to read more about the changes we envision for the highway, to improve safety and accessibility for people walking, biking, and rolling; enhance the livability of our communities; and protect our environment.
Please join on April 29th at 7:00 PM. A Zoom link, video presentation, and presentation slides are available on the Envision89 website. Questions? Contact Diane at 802.865.1794.
The Chittenden County I-89 2050 Study will address future transportation needs of all users by improving safety, connectivity, and mobility; promoting livable communities and a healthy environment; and investing in the regional economy. The study is evaluating multimodal improvements at Exits 13 and 14 and a possible new interchange at Hinesburg Road (“Exit 12B”).
