During these challenging times, it can feel hard to plan for the future. Meanwhile, you might be finding yourself with some more time to work on longer-term projects. We’d like to flag the following opportunities to consider.
Art Gibb Award Nominations – Deadline Extended!
Each year, VNRC presents the Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership to a Vermont resident whose work has brought about positive and lasting change to their community, region, or state in advancing smart growth policies.
We’ve extended the Art Gibb Award nomination deadline from March 27 to April 10, 2020. We encourage nominees that represent the diversity of Vermont’s residents and communities. Find the nomination form and learn about past winners here.
Apply for a Small Grant for Smart Growth
If your organization or community is working on a smart growth project that could use some funding, consider applying for a Small Grant for Smart Growth.
The program provides seed money for community-based initiatives related to smart growth, particularly those that engage the public in planning efforts.
Our latest Small Grant recipient is Old Spokes Home, a nonprofit bike shop working on forming a Transportation Equity Coalition in Burlington’s Old North End.
