Three Things: Vermont Conservation Voters Environmental Scorecard, Green State for Good fundraiser, and Art Walk

Three Things: This week, we’re sharing the Vermont Conservation Voters Environmental Scorecard, announcing the August Green State for Good fundraiser in partnership with Zero Gravity Brewery, and getting excited for Art Walk this Friday!

Stay informed, connected, and engaged—three things.

VCV Environmental Scorecard

With the extremely productive 2023-2024 legislative biennium behind us, Vermont Conservation Voters (VCV) has been hard at work compiling valuable resources for voters across the state. The Vermont Environmental Scorecard is a tool developed by VCV to help Vermonters track legislators’ voting records on key environmental issues in the latest legislative biennium. Learn more about the scorecard and candidates in your local races here.

Zero Gravity Green State for Good

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be the August recipient of Zero Gravity’s Green State for Good fundraiser! Each month, the Burlington brewery chooses a local organization to support with one dollar from every Green State Lager sold in their Burlington taproom. We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with Zero Gravity and for their support of our mission. If you’re interested in connecting with folks in the conservation space, we’ll be hosting a Green Drinks happy hour event at their south-end brewpub in August as well. Stay tuned for more details!

Montpelier Art Walk at VNRC

Art Walk is back! Tomorrow night, we’re hosting Saint Petersburg born watercolor and silk painter Anna Yakubovskaya from 4:30-7:30pm at our 11 Baldwin Street office (#23 on the map). Yakubovskaya’s work in her exhibit “Watercolor Diary: Three Years in Vermont” strikes a balance between intentional and spontaneous through different mediums. She specializes in wearable art, plein air painting, and work inspired by the natural world. Her mission is to use her art to draw attention to the abundance of beauty all around us through sharing her passion for art and her wonderful pieces. Stop by on Friday evening to chat with the artist, see the exhibit, and learn more about her process. More details here!
