Two Things: Climate and Democracy Dispatches, and Next Friday’s Art Walk Event

Two Things: Sharing two, weekly opportunities to stay informed of State House activity, and inviting you to next Friday’s Art Walk event at VNRC’s office in Montpelier!

Stay informed, stay connected – two things.

Curious What’s Happening at the State House? Check out the Climate and Democracy Dispatches!

It can be time consuming and challenging to stay on top of all of the important activity happening in the State House each week related to Vermont’s environment and communities. Fortunately, VNRC and our partner organization, Vermont Conservation Voters (VCV), have got you covered! Start each week by listening to the Democracy Dispatch podcast from VCV, which outlines recent State House action and features exclusive interviews with legislators and environmental allies to go deeper on policy initiatives affecting our environment and democracy. Then, on Fridays, tune into our Climate Dispatch – short, timely videos with legislators and key partners live from the State House – for a recap of what you need to know and opportunities for action related to climate and clean energy legislation each week.

VNRC Presents: “Plant Portraiture in Watercolor,” an Exhibit by Susan Bull Riley, as part of Montpelier Art Walk on Friday, February 2nd

Next Friday, February 2nd, VNRC invites you to join us for a reception for painter Susan Bull Riley in conjunction with Montpelier Art Walk. Susan’s exhibit, “Plant Portraiture in Watercolor,” is a collection of paintings that faithfully depict some of Vermont’s most spectacular flora. A native Vermonter and current resident of East Montpelier, Susan will be on-site to discuss the methods and inspiration behind her work. Doors will be open to the public from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Light refreshments, including homemade baked goods and hot cocoa, will be served while supplies last.
