The Opportunity In Modernizing Vermont’s Renewable Energy Standard – December 13th at 12pm

Join us on Wednesday, December 13th at 12pm to learn about Vermont’s current Renewable Energy Standard (RES), and how its 2032 requirements are not going far enough to help reduce carbon pollution and combat climate change. This legislative session, we’re looking to help advance a more robust RES that requires 100% renewable energy and more in-state renewable energy generation here in Vermont. Along with VNRC, hear from panelists from Conservation Law Foundation and VPIRG as we dig into the details of proposed changes to the RES with plenty of time for questions. We hope to see you there!

Recapping a Community Conversation on Clean Water & Climate Resilience in Ludlow

Last Thursday, VNRC and partners held a roundtable conversation with community members from Ludlow and surrounding towns. We discussed impacts from July’s flooding and tangible solutions to help Vermont’s communities and waterways become more resilient to a changing climate. Watershed experts from the Connecticut River Conservancy, Trout Unlimited of the Connecticut River Valley, the Black River Action Team, Vermont River Conservancy, and the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation all helped make the event a success. Thank you to everyone who came out to join us for the conversation!
