Vermont’s landscape is dotted with historic and compact village and town centers, surrounded by rural countryside. How we plan to guide development to maintain those patterns matters. How well are the current Vermont State Designation Programs supporting these historic land use patterns and supporting sustainable development practices on the ground? How well do they align with local, regional, and state goals, plans, maps and policies? What land use, smart growth, and conservation planning challenges are emerging for the next 25 years? Registration is officially open for an exciting evening at our Annual Meeting on September 21st! We hope you can join us at American Flatbread at Lareau Farm Inn in Waitsfield, under an open-air pavilion from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We will be presenting a captivating short video that celebrates our collective successes over the past 60 years, and looks ahead to the future of VNRC’s work to protect Vermont’s natural resources.
