VNRC is pleased to share that Jaime Lee has been appointed by the Governor as VNRC and Preservation Trust of Vermont’s representative on the Downtown Development Board, which supports the preservation and enhancement of Vermont’s distinctive landscape of compact centers surrounded by forests, fields, and farms.

Jaime brings a range of experience to the Board, having worked for both the Rutland Regional Planning Commission and the Town of Poultney (pictured above). She has served on numerous boards and committees in the region – including Poultney’s Downtown Revitalization Committee –and currently chairs her local planning commission.

When not engaged in planning and community development, Jaime works on digital communications initiatives for a diverse array of industries from her home in downtown Poultney, and recreates in the fields and forests of the surrounding area.

“I’m very excited to work with Jaime and the Preservation Trust in this important role to carefully enact state policies and programs promote the vitality of our downtowns and villages,” said Kate McCarthy, Sustainable Communities Program Director at VNRC.

Jaime replaces Patricia Sears of Lowell, Vermont, principal of NEKTI Consulting, who held the position since 2017. “I’m so grateful for Trish’s service on the Downtown Development Board, and sincerely appreciate her time, thoughtful questions, and hard work supporting smart growth in Vermont,” added McCarthy.
