“The Legislature passed a bill, S. 123, which updates the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) permit process. VNRC believes the bill strikes an appropriate balance of strengthening up-front citizen participation, ensuring Vermonters have a fair way to appeal issues not adequately addressed in the DEC process, and simplifying and expanding notice procedures.  We look forward to working with Vermonters around the state to inform them about these important changes to state permit processes.”
