Interested in making your backyard more welcoming to Vermont wildlife? Join us for an hour of tips and expertise from a variety of perspectives.

Thursday, September 9 at noon.

Moderated by Jamey Fidel, VNRC’s Forest & Wildlife Program Director, the webinar will focus on steps big and small Vermonter’s are taking to protect biodiversity.

Steve Parren, who recently retired as manager of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department’s Wildlife Diversity Program, will discuss the importance of backyard habitat management in supporting Vermont’s natural ecosystems. He’ll share tips from his many years of professional and personal conservation work.

Paul Leible of Richmond will talk about how he has prioritized plantings for wildlife habitats

And Karina Dailey, VNRC’s Ecological Restoration Coordinator will share a few resources where you can find native plants to support your own wildlife plantings!

The program will be followed by a Q&A.
