VNRC asks congressional delegation to address climate change, public health, and equity in stimulus

VNRC was among eleven organizations who signed on to a letter today to Vermont’s congressional delegation. In it, we provide a range of suggested policy proposals and public investments that would simultaneously boost our economy and put people to work rebuilding our communities in ways that will make them more resilient to climate change and improve environmental quality, public health and equity.

Our understanding is that the next round of COVID-19 legislation will likely focus on worker and business relief, but we are hoping that Congress will follow up with additional legislation to promote economic recovery and investment in infrastructure and our communities, enhancing our long-term resilience and sustainability.
