This spring, the Vermont Climate Council has been hard at work on an update to Vermont’s Climate Action Plan, which is due July 1, 2025. As required by the Global Warming Solutions Act, the Vermont Climate Council is required to come up with a plan that reduces Vermont’s greenhouse gas emissions in line with science-based targets, as well as identify strategies that help Vermont communities adapt and become more resilient in a warming world – all with a focus on equity and a just transition.
