The President’s FY18 Budget: What it Means for Climate, Renewable Energy, and Air Quality

In May 2017, the White House released its full budget for the 2018 fiscal year. The budget proposes severe cuts to programs meant to restore America’s public health, protect our wild places and natural resources, and to climate and renewable energy programming. VNRC believes this proposed budget to be harmful not only to the health and wellbeing of Americans, but to our country’s economic and climate security as well. The National Wildlife Federation released a Budget Fact Sheet – climate air energy FY18 that details what the proposed cuts could mean for climate, renewable energy, and air quality in the U.S.
