As part of ongoing efforts to engage the Mad River Valley community around affordable and accessible housing, the Mad River Valley Planning District (serving the towns of Waitsfield, Warren & Fayston) organized a Mad River Valley Housing Summit. The Summit consisted of a keynote presentation, a panel, breakout sessions, informational panels, and tabling by local housing organizations, providing attendees with context for the state’s housing crisis and guidance for individuals and towns to support local housing.

Funding from Small Grants for Smart Growth helped to provide free childcare and dinner for attendees, which can often pose a barrier to attending community meetings.
