Johanna Miller Appointed to Vermont System Planning Committee (VSPC)

This week the Vermont Public Utility Commission (“PUC”) made appointments to four of the five public seats on the Vermont System Planning Committee (VSPC). Included among the eight new members is Johanna Miller, VNRC’s Energy & Climate Action Program Director.

As director of VNRC’s energy program for over 10 years, Miller helped build and now coordinates Vermont’s wide network of community energy committees, and has represented environmental interests on the VSPC since 2011.

The VSPC was established in 2007 to improve coordination among Vermont’s utilities in the transmission planning process, and to consider both transmission and nontransmission alternatives to meet the state’s needs. In addition to the appointments made this week, membership includes all 17 electric utilities, the state’s electric energy efficiency utilities, and VELCO.
