Climate Dispatch—February 12, 2021: Meet Jane Lazorchak!

Meet Jane Lazorchak, the new Global Warming Solutions Act Project Director! In this week’s Climate Dispatch, Jane gives a high-level overview of her new role in service of successful implementation of Vermont’s new climate accountability framework. Jane also provides a status report on the work underway to comprise the four statutorily created subcommittees and an additional subcommittee focused on Science and Data.

The deadline for recommendations of Vermonters to serve on one of these five subcommittees is tonight — Friday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. If you or someone you know would bring important expertise and experience to the Climate Council’s work and one of the five subcommittees in particular, please nominate by 9 p.m this evening at

As a reminder, those subcommittees are Rural Resilience and Adaptation, Agriculture and Ecosystems, Just Transitions, Cross Sector Mitigation and Science and Data. Find out far more about the Climate Council here and nominate someone by 9 this evening here. Thanks for your participation!
