VNRC engages in planning to promote forestland and wildlife habitat conservation at multiple levels across Vermont. We work with state and federal agencies, regional and local planning commissions, conservation commissions, citizen groups, landowners, and many other diverse partners to develop strategies to maintain the integrity of Vermont’s forest and wildlife resources.
VNRC assists and helps lead various collaborative partnerships and projects aimed at promoting resource protection on the ground; including promoting productive forests, healthy wildlife populations, habitat connectivity, and the maintenance of ecologically significant areas.
VNRC has a team of planners and resource professionals that provide technical assistance to communities to help them address forestland and wildlife conservation. Click here for more information about this program.
