How to stay in touch with VNRC on Facebook

Recently, Facebook made changes to their News Feed that makes it more challenging for our friends and members to see our posts on Facebook. We frequently post articles here on our website, but also share original content (like our weekly Dispatch from the State House on Climate Action) on Facebook.

If you’d like to keep seeing VNRC posts, stories, events, and videos in your News Feed – and we hope you do! – please follow these steps:

  1. Like Vermont Natural Resource Council’s Facebook page!
  2. Follow VNRC’s Facebook page to subscribe to our updates. Under the “Following” tab, select “See First” in your News Feed and turn Notifications “On.”
  3. If you’re asked to fill out a quality survey from Facebook, please let them know you consider VNRC a trusted source of news and information.
  4. Use the instructions shown below to prioritize VNRC posts in your News Feed.

ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE:

  1. Press the menu icon (the three lines in the corner).
  2. Select “Settings.”
  3. Select “News Feed Preferences.”
  4. Select “Prioritize who to see first.”
  5. Scroll down or search for VNRC, and select the VNRC icon.
  6. Press “Done.”

ON A DESKTOP WEB BROWSER:

  1. Click the menu icon (the down arrow)) in the upper right-hand corner of the Facebook home page.
  2. Select “News Feed Preferences.”
  3. Select “Prioritize who to see first.”
  4. Scroll down to find VNRC. Select the VNRC icon.
  5. Press “Done.”
