Help VNRC Meet Our Membership Challenge!

Right now, our team is leading the charge in the Legislature to protect Vermont’s shorelands, and we can’t do it without you.

Your Vermont Natural Resources Council membership is the first step towards a cleaner, healthier future for all of us. Please help VNRC reach our goal of adding $2,000 in member donations to our legislative fund this February – join today!

Vermont is blessed with stunning lakes, some 800 of them in fact. Lakes and ponds provide priceless recreational, economic and inspirational value and we all have a stake in keeping them healthy and clean. A bill under consideration in the Senate this week will do just that . . . but we need your help!

Two weeks ago, a key senate committee passed a lake shorelands protection bill. This week it reaches the full Senate, and VNRC is working hard to see that it gets passed. The bill, H.526, represents a solid step forward in safeguarding habitat for birds and fish, maintaining lakeside property values, supporting the critical tourism economy, protecting homes and camps from flood damage, and protecting waters that belong to all Vermonters.

Your continued support is essential for VNRC to help pass bill H.526 and live up to our commitment to strengthen the foundations of a healthy Vermont. Please consider making a donation to the Vermont Natural Resources Council today.

Support VNRC’s efforts to protect our water quality and wildlife habitat for generations to come. Over half of our support and revenue comes from membership dues and donations – not from foundations, grants, or other sources of funding. We need your help – please become a member!
