Brattleboro – Climate Action Commission public session

October 5, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Earlier this summer, Governor Scott announced the creation of a Climate Action Commission who will make three climate action recommendations to the governor and legislature before the end of the year.

Now is your chance to be involved – attend the Brattleboro public scoping session on Thurs., Oct. 5 at Marlboro College Graduate School, Room 1-E (28 Vernon St.) and let the Commission know it is time to take substantial action on climate:

  1. Outline a plan for meeting Vermont’s greenhouse gas reduction commitments;
  2. Keep all renewable energy resources on the table to help Vermont meet our state goal of 90% renewable energy by 2050; and
  3. Put a price on carbon pollution to turn the challenge of climate change into tax relief and economic opportunity for all Vermonters.

Join VNRC, Vermont Conservation Voters, and our partners in the Energy Independent Vermont coalition just before the meeting for to meet fellow activists and prepare your comments. Please RSVP and let us know you plan to attend!
